The winter water adventure ended way past midnight. I got to hang out with a locksmith and plumbers, and neighbors, the unfortunate neighbors’ lock has been drilled out, the wall behind the sink opened and the burst copper cap replaced. And I had to authorize all this, as board president, and deal with the management company and insurance tomorrow.
The moral of the story: When going on vacation, always leave your keys with someone nearby. And if it’s winter, leave the bloody thermostat on!
And now I know my neighbors better, and maybe now there will be someone nearby to feed our cat when we are away.
