I stopped going to product, design and data meetups . They always ask you what you do and why you’re there – either while meeting people, or, at smaller ones, in front of everybody during intros. My job no longer even remotely has anything to do with those disciplines, I have no side projects I could talk about where I could use those skills, contribute to any of the discussions, or even relate to anything other people might be telling me. I feel like a complete poser being there.

Figuring out what I could say that is even remotely credible, or finding a side project would be a good idea before I could start doing it again.
