It made me realize that I don’t really understand Japanese humor. The kind where people are put in awkward, embarrassing and potentially painful situations. I like absurd and deadpan humor, but maybe not when what’s happening underneath it all is pretty terrible. I just can’t laugh then, even though everyone else seems to be laughing. 

Apart from that, it’s a beautifully made and acted movie.
