Re watching The Young and Prodigious TS Spivet.
It is made by Jean Pierre Jeunet, the guy behind Amelie. Except this one feels like a cross between Wes Anderson and Amelie. Set in oddly idealized and picture perfect American West, with modern day cowboys, probably the way the French imagine it, just as we imagine Amelie Poulaine’s nonexistent Paris.

Of course this perfect American West had to be shot on location in Canada.
