Rethinking..

…why I have this tumblr…

I learned a bit, about myself, about others, and about the world. But it did turn into something of an addiction, while not bringing the relief from internal negativity that I thought it would. I ended up following and/or liking posts of people who post interesting things, people who post beautiful things, and people whom I find interesting, fascinating and different (and who do not not post anything nsfw).

Now, I just don’t see the future or purpose in documenting my increasingly uninteresting life, or continuing to occasionally or randomly interact with some amazing people whom I’ll never meet.

Since simply quitting Tumblr is a lot harder than quitting Facebook, as I’m finding out, for now, I will:

– unfollow blogs of people posting anything personal,

– unfollow art and photo-related blogs

– unfollow travel-related blogs

That will make my dash slightly less boring than my LinkedIn. I am also considering making my own blog private, unless someone tells me why I shouldn’t.

If you see that I unfollowed your blog, there is nothing personal in it. It is just my attempt to withdraw into the real world. If anyone wants my email address, please tell me.
