Make the best of the people you meet now, and try to become friends with as many of them as possible. Learn about them. Share experiences. Nurture those friendships. Stay in touch with these people, even if it means one catch-up email per year after they leave far away (and it go beyond FB “happy birthdays” and Insta likes). Stay interested in what they are doing. Make them like and appreciate you.
These are the friendships that will stay. It will be a lot harder to make new friends and break into cemented friendship networks.
You never know where that may lead years from now.
And don’t, under any circumstances, sell your soul to financial services companies or management consultancies.
