Month: February 2016

Back to working shifts at the coop, now that the parental leave is
over. It was nice to catch up with people.
My shift-mate, who is Swiss, bought and is renovating a house in Hudson
Valley because they can no longer afford Brooklyn (and he’s had it with the cut-throat competition for NY schools).
I asked what he’s going to do if Trump becomes the
president.
He said – nothing – because Trump won’t be able to
accomplish anything, and so nothing will change.
I need to learn sanguine outlook from him!
the way the work is today, I’ll just keep on pondering how the world will end.
so so so want to see this!!
But whether I’d be able to, that’s the real question.

After the rain

“Dead emperors have very little delight in their monuments.”
— Nathaniel Hawthorne, “The Marble Faun”
That’s right. I’d much rather listen to Magnetic Fields’ 69 Love Songs on this grey morning than to NPR detailing how Trump won Nevada caucuses.

No-color kind of day
