Bernie Sanders’s Revolution Needs a Better Plan – The Atlantic

Bernie talked about a revolution again tonight. In my view, unconvincingly.
This is a good plan. I would only believe him if he actually did anything from it.
But I’m too cynical to think that he will. And if by some miracle he gets elected, and fails to produce what everyone is expecting of him, I wonder what would happen.

The single most important thing an economics course can teach you

This is precisely why an economics education is so valuable. Life requires the ability to balance different narratives, determine what assumptions matter, and how to build on existing knowledge. Often good problem solving in any field requires skill, expertise, discipline, being open to different points of view, and sometimes a little discomfort.

Happy Safer Internet Day! #SaferInternetDay #betterinternet #SID2016 @Insafenetwork

adafruit:

Today is Safer Internet Day – let’s all do what we can to help make the internet a safer place!

Here’s some information about Safer Internet Day in the US:

Safer Internet Day gained official recognition in the U.S. in late 2012, with a joint agreement between the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the European Commission to work together to build a better Internet for youth. The U.S. celebration got a big boost in 2013, when Insafe appointed ConnectSafely.org as the U.S.’s coordinator going forward.

Our plan is to make each Safer Internet Day U.S. (SID U.S.) a highly collaborative project that promotes the efforts of Internet users of all ages, interests and backgrounds to make the Internet a better place and the world a better place with the help of the Internet. This year we are featuring the good deeds and leadership of young people in “playing your part for a better Internet,” the EC’s theme for SID 2016.

Get involved with Safer Internet Day in the US.

If you’re outside the US and would like to find Safer Internet Day activities in your area, check out SaferInternetDay.org.
