Tried to make it to an info session for a UX design course. There is no way
I would have taken another overpriced and overglamorized General Assembly
course, even if I could afford it, but it would have been good to talk to
people and see what they do.
But, it didn’t work out: R had to work late and I had to stay and care for
the baby: by the time I would have made it there from the depths of
Brooklyn, it would have been largely over.
That made me realize that taking evening classes is not really for this
stage in my life anymore.
This is where it is becoming clearer than ever that the window for a course
correction has been irreversibly missed. I know at the rational level that
such window never even existed for millions of people, and how lucky I was to have one,
but still that makes me very sad.
