Youth eats all the sugared fancy cakes and regards them as its daily bread. But there’ll come a time when you’ll start asking just for a crust.

A random quote from Turgenev’s Asya that popped up on my dash, which led me to its source, which led me to read the whole thing (it’s not very long). In original, of course, which is ever more enjoyable.

It was good, and allowed my thoughts to wander to the place where we would hopefully be in May – 150 years or so after the story.

But none of this was planned, and this is how I get distracted!
