It’s time to start ignoring president Donald Trump — Quartz

“A normal US president is like a creature in the middle of a lake, his every move creating far-reaching ripples. This one is like a rock in a stream; he creates turbulence and is to be avoided, but everything flows on around him.”

For the past month or so, I’ve been pretty much exclusively reading Quartz as my primary news source (in addition to techcrunch, recode and new scientist – and a very carefully selected set of sources on Tumblr – I deliberately don’t follow a lot of blogs on here).
I did notice that at Quartz they ignore trump as much as they can – sometimes days go by without them mentioning him even once. Now I know why.

I have to say, ignoring trump requires a little discipline, but it is incredibly refreshing and calming. I highly recommend it.

I want my own place to escape to.

But for now, this will do, and I know I’m incredibly lucky to even be invited to this.
I can lay with my eyes closed and listen to the rain.
