Decided to treat myself (and a homeless person outside, because she looked as sleepy as I) to Eataly croissant for breakfast. Beautiful parents with beautiful little kids way more stylish than me (and mine) waiting in line in front, and I hear Spanish, French and Italian. They all have Montessori elementary school backpacks, the multicultural progressive play-based $45K/year kind. I didn’t see them on subway, so I assume they live around here too. This is their garden, and they are the ones who kindly share it with others.

Two effective ways to shut down the person you are in the process of blaming for something and win any argument:

– Remind him that you hate his whiny voice

– Tell him that anything he might say is an excuse and you don’t want to hear any more of them
