It was really nice, and even hopeful, in some way, but I’ve been reading too much about collapse of our ever-complex civilization and the unpleasant things that would ensue, and thinking about it too much.
At work rn I’m surrounded by 3 large screens, not counting this small one (my phone).
I’ve seen clients with 6, not counting Bloomberg TV blaring overhead.
Are humans meant to be exposed to and process this much information, and what does it do to our brains?
Clear sound of windchimes in a crowded but otherwise silent morning subway car. Nobody ever talks on subway in the morning. The chimes are discordant with everything else, but can’t help but think of the mossy quiet place where I heard the real ones.
