I thought for a while
I was gone
And alone
I thought for a while
And couldn’t find
My home

I’ve been going down
So please hold on
Hang on
I’ve been going down
Oh, how I long

Honey I’ve been gone too long
Can’t come around
Make my mind satisfied
And drowned

Hold me for a while
I’m only low on my own
If only for a while
I only sleep when I’m alone

We’ve been going down
And I won’t hold on, oh no
We’ve been going down
Oh, how I long

Daytime trip to the park by the sea. Stayed in the car the entire time and driving in circles because L fell asleep and dripped water on self.

Returned and did the best thing – slept for four hours.

Feeling significantly more human, and can actually remember things.

Got laundry-folding task taken away by kind R who arrived and sent me to another room to meditate. I am incapable of meditating and so instead curled up on dirty (after painting) floor (the small couch being taken by the clothes from the painted closet, and there being not enough empty space on the floor to stretch fully), and promptly fell asleep.

I had no idea wood floor could be so comfortable.

Being awakened by cries -too early- in the morning was brutal nonetheless, and I ended up forgetting L’s food bag in the fog that my brain is now – trekking back home from subway, then back – add 30 min to the commute – 30 min late for work.

R had even less sleep than I – and had to get up in the middle of night again – because he won’t sleep! – and collapsed of exhaustion at her office, and had to go home to sleep it off.

Will there ever be the time when we’d get enough sleep?

At present:

– I am a sleep-deprived zombie with low grade fever and half finished PowerPoint, looking forward to tomorrow’s 7am flight to Detroit for a day full of meetings and promise of uninterrupted 1.5 hour sleep on the plane (and the deliciously silent hotel later that night!!!)

– home is a quarter-packed, three-quarters yet-to-be-packed mess of boxes to be dealt with until the move.

– My hands still cannot properly type after last week’s commuting incident

I’m being told I’m in dire need to make this hair look professional for both tomorrow’s client.

– Did I mention being an incoherent forgetful sleep-deprived zombie?

– the summer is officially over today!
