found within walking distance:

– Polish mini-grocery that has amazing homemade dinners for 2 when for like $10

– Russian mini-grocery that also has readymade food that I have yet to try

– Bosnian mini-grocery that I’m too intimidated to walk into

– Turkish grocery that has simits and every imaginable Turkish, Greek and Bulgarian cheese, though it’s unpredictable what they will have at any given time

this area may lack many things, like book, wine and flower shops, but food desert it ain’t. Also, none of the fruit, milk and veggies are organic, and prices are rather high, so that means trips and work at the co-op must continue.
