My current boss moved from Canada to here because Canadians are complacent, docile, and too-comfortable in their tolerance, he says, and he enjoys the fight and competition that’s here.
But I don’t enjoy it do I ?

Should I ask for my old job back?
And really follow through on the promise to move to Canada?
As Trump grabs for our reproductive rights, the “Uber for birth control” fights back
There may be a solution for accessible reproductive health care in the Trump era: an app. A company called Nurx provides birth control prescriptions, emergency contraception and HIV-prevention drugs. It’s been called the Uber for birth control, as it delivers on-demand care through the postal system. This ease of access and affordability is especially critical in certain areas.

Unfortunately, trump/pence will also have control of FCC, and the congress that regulates interstate commerce.
So, they can put kibosh on this as quickly as this becomes popular.
Just like Bush/Obama banned online gambling (and Trump will probably open it up again).
Maybe I’m being wishful, but what if Trump is actually playing a hypermodern version of the old GOP playbook? What if he’s sold them down the river – the uneducated, marginalized, eager-to-punch-Washington-and-elites-in-the-nose, desperate flyover state Whites and wannabes – and just like every other Republican in the past 50 years he’s going to pander to big money and big industry, cut taxes on the rich, and screw everybody else.
That might be better than him actually running the country like a populist demagogue. Personally, I think he has no real, deep-seated ideology. He may not really care about reproductive rights, gay marriage, or marijuana. Yes, he will have to step up policing undocumented workers and act tough on trade policy, but maybe it will all be a show. And he is likely to get bipartisan support for a big infrastructure push, which will benefit just about everybody.
So. Maybe.
Let’s see where we are a few months later.
The real danger is climate change, however. I don’t want to think about that, because it requires a leader who does care about something other than preening in the mirror.
Newt already said how “the wall” was just a device to get the voters out. And that no one ever meant to build it. So, yes, this is plausible.
however, Trump will bankrupt the country in literal and not figurative sense. I can’t believe people forget what he said back in May about “renegotiating” (defaulting) on US treasuries, treating it like Greek debt. The inflation that would result would be terrible for everyone except his real estate friends and people with a lot of debt.
Well, people who trade bonds don’t forget:

I will just be putting things here that I *want* to resonate with me (even if they truthfully don’t). For now.
Maybe if I read them enough something will change in my outlook. Or maybe I will just wake up from this bad dream, and find everyone else awakened, too.
Not posting anything on here anymore for the time being.
Need time to figure this all out.
Refusing to look at news while at a client all day, but kept looking at the market. GLD (gold index) and VIX(volatility, aka Fear Index) as proxy for Trump, and market indices and GS (old company’s stock) as proxies for Clinton.
Two days in a row – 4am wake-up, except today there was also a brief 12am and 2am that I didn’t even have to deal with.
I have just been offered the best solution to lack of sleep by none other than my father – “work on it – man up and deal with it”.
